Red Oak & Acorns Fall Table

September chills are running through the mountains here at PineRidge….so of course there is a big pot of chicken soup cooking on the stove, bread in the oven and firewood stacked just waiting to be burned….now for the table….dark red and rustic tan….love them together!

Yesterday mapquest and I decided it was time for a road trip….(GPS always gets me lost!) I finally found my way to Homegoods! Why didn’t you tell me? I could have handled the secret….I traveled 32 miles to get there but I would have traveled a day and a half! well, you all know about this mecca in “Dishland”….I need to clear out the shoe closet to make a dish closet!!! oh my…..well I found this beautiful plate and bowl, embossed with oak leaves and acorns…The napkins and tablecloth …the centerpieces…..they are surely finding their way onto the table a lot this fall! enjoy!

The sun was just coming up over the hills…..

The bread is beginning to talk to me…..The whole house smells delicious……can you smell it? come on in coffee is brewing and the lemon curd is waiting for the poppy – seed bread – any minute now….

  1. Ahhh yes, Home Goods. I too have recently discovered this wonderland thanks to all of the tablescaping bloggers. How did I not know?! While I would never give up a shoe closet – I did give up a coat closet for the newly acquired dishes 🙂
