Valentine’s Day Idea’s

Red velvet hearts, pink roses, maybe a little bling in a candy box.....whatever the surprise is - it will be special because of the person who gives it...... I plan to have a little fireside supper with my husband......but first I need to leave "Hints".....so he remembers the 14th! Winter Elsewhere…

Although I love the "Look" of winter, and the first snowfall and all the ooooh's and aaaaah's that come from the memories of my youth, and maybe even a stroll through it when it first comes down, and of course the cuddling that it inspires.... sigh...... I think I've about had it now..... But there are folks out there that wait for this big event with such anticipation! Pork & Potatoes

Sorry for posting so late......busy day.......well we just hit 4 degrees!   yippee....... here is how we fared yesterday....... As for my Pork Roast - it was wonderful!!! In the slow - cooker, but mine only took seven hours instead of the recipe's nine..... I also added a bit of white wine and a lot of herbs and seasonings......I made some rustic mashed potatoes and fresh pea's.....Delish! So while doing work online and planning today's blog post and trying to finish some of my sewing projects I decided to take a break and find something to make me smile or even better make me..... think...... How did I do?  Dot all your “i”s with smiley faces. Sing into your hairbrush. Grow a milk mustache. Read the funnies; throw the rest of the paper away. Dunk your cookies. Step carefully over sidewalk cracks. Try to get someone to trade you a better sandwich. Give someone a hug around the neck. Blow the wrapper off a straw. Refuse to eat crusts. New Year’s Around the World

New year's Eve is celebrated all over the world and in so many different ways.......We usually "Party Hop"......through the neighborhood, including my daughters, but this year we opted to stay in and have a few friends come over and just relax in front of the fire.....a glass of champagne and some hors d'oeuvres .... good conversation and a whole lot of laughs.... Soooo, did he come yet? .......         ...No?.......                  .........
