Tulips everywhere!

Happy Cinco De Mayo / Monday everyone! It is a lovely morning here at PineRidge Hills....the clouds have broken away, and the sun is out.  My apple trees are budding, as is the Kousa Dogwood in front of the house.  The fig trees seem to have survived that late snowfall we had.  My husband, the lawn specialist, gave the front lawns their first mowing.  It looks like a velvet blanket of green...... Ah, all is good! I hope....... I know I've been MIA since the weekend, trying to enjoy the sliver of Spring mother Nature gave us! We dodged yet another bullet yesterday and only got a dusting of the "White Stuff"! This is me sticking my tongue out at "You know who"!  ))))) So what have you all been up to? Spring is on the Horizon!

We are anticipating temps in the 40's this weekend! Yipppeee! Now if we could only get rid of the snow............ Well, it's March 5th, and we are three days away from Daylight savings Time....Yup! Saturday night we push those clocks ahead and gain a whole hour of beautiful daylight! I'm so excited! Bay & Bow Window Treatments

As always, more snow is falling as I write this! So I'm giving up....yup, I have met the enemy and I am theirs!..... But I realize its a blessing in disguise.......when the weather does get nice - and we all know it will - eventually......the last thing I want is to be inside finishing up projects that I started after Thanksgiving! so, my determination and acceptance of Mother Nature's scorn......is giving me the time I need to get things done! Houseplant Spa Day

It so miserable outside but oh so delightful inside! My houseplants used to out number the population of China....no, really! I took my husband an hour once to find his way into the family room....so I decided to "Downsize" the plants......When ever I get that urge to bring home a new "Member" my husband, the wise one, pulls me away screaming....this is not a new habit for me, when we lived in Brooklyn, people would actually leave orphans on my doorstep...I was known as the Plant Lady!
