Valentine’s Day

So we have a week before chocolate finds it's way into our home and our palates! I asked my husband to please not bring home chocolates this year I'm trying so hard not give up on the diet, It's Thursday and I've started the regime four times this week alone! Sewing Room Gifts…

While visiting my dear friend Bettyann, the "Divine Ms. B" as she is known at Pineridge Hills....She  invited me over a few weeks before Christmas for Tea & freshly baked cake.....I was telling her I had just ordered several doll patterns so I could start creating a wardrobe for my granddaughters' new American Girl Dolls they were getting for Christmas. Deck the Halls…….

Laundry is done, dogs are walked and now fast asleep in front of the fireplace....Wood is crackling and the sun is just starting to peek over Blueridge Mountain. I love this time of the morning, its so quiet and a great time to just sit for a bit and dive into one of my magazines....I'm not ready to give up the feel or the smell of a book or magazine. SSSSSSSSH – It’s a surprise!

Good morning sunshine! yes the sun is out but its nippy up here on the mountain! Autumn forgot to tell us to get the sweaters out this past week.....no matter.....our kitchen is in full gear, I'm baking bread, there is a pot of Beef Stew on the stove and I'm knee deep in making chocolate heart-shaped pink lollipops! Breakfast Room DIY Drapes

Have you ever walked through your favorite store and ...sighed.....Hmmmmm, how do I fit that into my budget? Oh, well another time..... That happened to me when I walked through Country Curtains.......I love the Buffalo Check drapes, but I have four more rooms of drapes to get done before the holidays and so had to pull myself away..... Gold Leaf Clocks….

And how are your weekend plans going? We are busy here......trying to get geared up for Fall - my most favorite time of year! But we still have to finish some projects like painting the small downstairs bathroom and installing the Travertine backsplash in the kitchen....will be sharing that with you soon...but for now I wanted to share my "new/old"  found hobby "Gold Leafing"....I grew up with parents who were in the framing and antiques business. A Year At Pineridge Hills

Continuing from yesterday we are looking back at our first year of Pineridge Hills here on the mountain.....and its been a wonderful year, filled with new friends and a  sharing of stories........ Good morning! Dear Friends, Yes, I know that my blog has been woefully out of date, with no news for a very long time.
