Snow vs. Spring!

Hi everyone! Yes I know...its been a few days.....but there has been a series of events that has kept me awfully busy since Friday..... It's called .....SNOW.... ....... yes, can you believe it?........SNOW.......like we didn't have enough! I have it on good authority that Mother Nature went to visit her second cousin on her mothers side who lives in Buffalo , NY and got snowed in! Her I-phone was not charged so she is unreachable! This week is going to be all about sewing & quilting! yup, oiled up the Singer and organized my sewing room....have  some little surprises for my friend Bettyann, she doesn't know about it yet......don't tell her! Brown Bag Molds…

Yesterday, I spend t yet another... Here's a cute project for a "Stocking Stuffer"....Using just a couple of snowflake buttons, you can transform a pair of store-bought slippers into "Snowman Slippers"!   how cute is that for your grandkids or even yourself!   You will need: Slippers tracing paper white, orange and black felt matching embroidery floss snowflake buttons 1. Good Morning....... The weather here in the Pennsylvania mountains is rapidly changing........I guess winter is really coming.........I had hoped Mother Nature would have changed her mind this year and just let Fall last till Spring!....sigh......I would love to have lunch with Mother Nature......see what makes her tick! Fall Days

What a Day this has been! First, a herd of deer came through...I was able to grab my camera and get a few photo's as they meandered up the ridge.... The rest are already up the ridge...... Then I heard a ruckus on the side of the house so my camera and I got to the front just in time to catch a few photo's of a flock of wild turkeys.... A few minutes later my "Boyz" went crazy on the deck so my camera and I ran once again...this time it was the black bear..... Cookies & Stuff

So I am sitting here, with a hundred things running through my head......what am I going to share with you today? Its cloudy here at PineRidge Hills....dreary morning, "The Boyz" are all cuddled up in their beds so I don't think they are up for a walk in the woods......The fireplace is a blaze with warmth, yes it is one of those mornings.....stay in and bake! With the holidays coming why not start baking cookies.....then I can see which one will win a spot on the hutch come Christmas eve...... Holiday Project Week / Tuesday / Pillow

Pillows...... These reindeer were just .98 cents......all I did was attach it  to the front of the pillow, (a little dab of glue won't hurt),  before I sewed it together....just sew around some of the spots, I used nylon thread so you won't see it, make it tight and BAM....another holiday "Quick Sew" project.....I added small gold tassels to the corners and slip stitched the bottom closed....instead of fiberfill I had a small pillow in my craft closet so I used it .....If your really detailed you could sew a zipper along the bottom but I just slip stitched it.....any flat ornament will … [Read more...]

  Many of you have "Dish Closets", which I am working on, but who among you have a Fabric Closet? Yup, that would be me!   a whole closet filled with fabric - for every occasion - and project....
