Easter comes up the mountain, and hitched to its weathered wagon is Spring! Even the birds are lining up along the road, on top of the telephone lines as if waiting for the parade to start….
Although we had a mild winter here in Northern Pennsylvania, I am glad to see it leave……the daffodils’ and crocus are starting to peek through the dirt and soak up the sunshine……..The tulips I planted two years ago have tripled, so I am patiently waiting for the burst of color that will adorn the rim of the deck…..
Inside PineRidge Hills, Spring is starting to bloom too……my grandmothers collection of Rose Chintz has lovingly been placed in the hutch, the wintery drapes are coming down and light and airy wisps of linen will be going up. The shutters are wide open and the sun is warming every nook & cranny…..and my “Country Curtains” catalog should be arriving any second now…..
The winter dishes are stored away and the Spring table linens have been pressed and just waiting for a Spring lunch or perhaps our next Book-club Brunch……
This year, the master bedroom and bath will be the Project of choice….and I’m already taping swatches to the walls…..my poor husband said when he wakes up in the morning he feels as if he is inside a kaleidoscope! 🙂 Here are some of my favorites….
so many idea’s – not enough rooms!
So as you can see I am pretty excited about the warmth of the Sun and the cool breezes that will be blowing through PineRidge Hills soon….picnics by the lake, long walks with the dogs along country roads and siting by the campfire with good friends……
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and “Happy Spring!”
