……..Well Autumn has finally come up the mountain and along with it came the pumpkins…….
My dear sister-in-law snapped the above from her front porch! She lives only about a mile from me but she has mostly hardwoods so the colors are brilliant…..
This morning was a bit foggy…..I so love to be in the back when the sun starts its journey over the pines – there’s something so serene about standing among the trees and just listening. For us its the roosters crowing and the gaggle of geese wanting to get out and about!
This is my most favorite time of year, the aromas of hot mulled cider lingering through the house…bowls of apples filled to the brim just waiting to be turned into a hot apple pie…the smell of the wood crackling in the fireplace and pumpkins peeking out from all four corners of PineRidge Hills!
My three fur-babies are all nestled on the ottoman….but Duncan loves to curl up in his own tartan plaid blanket…..
I love to decorate for fall, the colors are vibrant and makes a home feel so welcoming. I have a few new “Pumpkins” here in the house…My “find” at Homegoods….
this new pillow is from society6 you can see their beautiful pillows here…
And some of my old friends that have been here for years…
On the weekend if Mother Nature cooperates the front porch will be donning its “Autumn Attire” too…..as in the past, the PineRidge Wagon will be leaving the deck to adorn the front porch….
But this year I think we will do all pumpkins nestled in hay….
or this great idea! I love this…..
And of course inside will have Autumn in all the nooks & cranny’s……
Here is a great DIY for the weekend……This would look beautiful on an entry table or in the breakfast room, thanks to our own great pines I have plenty of cones on hand…..
Over the weekend I’ll be testing a new recipe “Lemon-buttermilk Tart“…..will share on Monday!
Have a great weekend…..
