Autumn Revisited!….It’s been two years since we launched PineRidge Hills……where did the time go? We have been through two Christmas’, Easter Sundays’, Summer BBQs’, but this is our third Autumn so lets start our anniversary trip with our first season. This is absolutely my most favorite time of year. The crisp air and vibrant colors, the wool blankets coupled with hot spiced tea…..the fireplace ablaze with the smell of hickory. Even my “Fur babies” love Autumn. They actually prance around when they see their sweaters coming out of the closet.
This year, we have finally made a dent in our “To Do” list…..the house was painted, the deck was stained, the new furniture is in place, drapes are up and there is a “Toy” sitting in the garage – A vintage corvette! So we have been busy! This autumn my oldest daughter will marry her soul-mate while the “Love of my life” and I will celebrate 42 years of marriage! My daughter wanted a country-style outdoor picnic wedding. Here are some of our dream boards…..
We are two weeks away from becoming a whole family again……..
We are not losing a daughter but rather gaining a son……
Now we need to pray for sunshine and no rain!
Even the colors of autumn seem crisp! and I can’t wait for that first whiff of burning leaves that the grandkids helped pile into a spot on the hill….
And of course the house waits patiently to be dressed in all its Autumn finery…..which is going on as we speak for 2015!
Remember John Henry of Tenbury Square? You can read about him here…Well, he still sits on the mantle….still congers up stories of long ago, and the grandkids say hello to him on every visit. I’m sure the stories will abound once again, as we start our campfires and S’mores!
We even spent our first Halloween visiting some the most haunted places in America…..Gettysburg…….
You even got to meet the ” Window Gremlins of PineRidge Hills”…..
Even Beltzville Lake, which we can walk to, got all dressed up for autumn…..
Tomorrow we will reminisce the aromas that traveled through PineRidge Hills…..are you hungry yet?
Thanks for starting this trip with me down Memory Lane…….the road to PineRidge Hills is paved with wonderful memories and lots of new and old friends….See you tomorrow!
